LEAD was born from a simple but powerful belief: every hockey player and coach deserves access to high quality coaching.
LEAD was founded by Olympic gold medalist and Hall of Famer Thomas Briels, together with a team of passionate hockey professionals. After retiring from the Belgian national team, Thomas saw how much his knowledge was valued by clubs and coaches, but he couldn’t be everywhere at once. To share that expertise more widely, he turned to technology and built a platform that brings elite hockey knowledge to everyone: from young players learning their first skills to coaches looking to teach the game more effectively.
We know hockey from the inside. We’ve played it, lived it, and loved it our entire lives. We’ve trained, competed, and coached at the highest level, but we also understand the everyday reality of coaches preparing sessions, players searching for inspiration, and clubs wanting to develop talent across all levels.
What began as a simple idea, a “Netflix for field hockey” to share our knowledge, has grown into a complete hockey development platform used by dozens of clubs to build structured and high quality training and development programs across all their teams.
